Ryan is in August 2003's MAD magazine (it has Adam Sandler on the
cover). Page 2 has a picture of Ryan and Jimmy Kimmel
holding a copy of MAD. (If you send in a picture of
you and a celebrity holding a MAD magazine, you get a
free subscription). The layout looks like this:

It's almost as if
Jimmy's saying,
"Blink and you'll
miss my show!"

Congrats to Ryan, who snagged a three-year
subscription for posing with Jimmy Kimmel.
While on the set, Kimmel offered--and later
begged--Ryan to co-host his show. Wisely, Ryan declined.

Then, on July 16, Jimmy held up that page of the
magazine and said the following

Look at this. If you want to send a picture of
yourself with a celebrity to MAD magazine and they
print it, you get a free subscription. And look at
this right here. Some guy did it. There I am, I'm
sleeping while we pose for the picture. Ya know, I
don't do a 48-hour telethon or endow children's
hospitals or anything like that, but every once in
awhile I try to get photographed with a 35-year-old
man who wants a free subscription to MAD magazine.
"Hey, ladies, want to flip through my copy of MAD?--it
was free."
